 #Forgiving Paris# by Karen Kingsbury   is a time split  story.   This   story  is an inspirational fiction story.  Karen is a best selling author. Many of her novels have turned  into a Hallmark movie. Her  Baxter  series are   scheduled to turn into a TV  series. Karen is an adjust  writing professor  at Liberty University. In  2001  Karen and her husband adopted  three boys  from Haiti.   The  story starts  two   decades earlier  with Ashley  Baxter  having an art exhibit in Paris.    Later in the book   she is married two  decades later and returns to Paris.   She    has to face   the mistakes she made earlier in her life.   She has to come to  terms with her past.   The  story  makes us think about  our need to forgive our  past  and  not to carry it further in  our future.   I  think it is wonderful that Ashley   came to terms with her past and forgave herself.   The  story is   beautifully  written. God is My Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom

 God is My Hiding Place is  written by Corrie ten Boom. Corrie  ten Boom's  family   were Dutchwatch makers.  They hid  Jews during  World War 11.  The family are  so inspiring to   risk their own lives by hiding the Jews.  The family were  arrested and put in  concentration camps.  Their  story is told in the   book and movie The Hiding  Place.    Corrie   was released  from the concentration camps.  She lived to  tell her story all over the world. She  shared  about   God's love, presence in her  life during   her  time in World War II.   She was a tramp  for the Lord.  I  have   been inspired by her life and  the many lives she touched.   This  devotional  is   so rich , deep and unusual.  In the devotional she  shares  how  she had to forgive   a former S.S. man who  was in the   concentration camp in Ravensbruck. This  officer  came to one of her speaking engagements after the war.  He  told her He  became a Christian.  She  was  face to face with  someone who had hurt her

 #Praying Through Cancer#  by Susan Sorensen  is a book for cancer patients. Cancer is a hard diagnosis for people to face.  This book  shows the reader that they are not alone. This book    draws you back to the anchor , Jesus   who can strengthen  and  give you hope during  the difficult days.   This book is written for  90 days.  This book  uses  scripture and prayer to guide you through  your  cancer.   This book  is  personal, real  during your  hard trial.  This book  is written by people who have  faced cancer like Kay Warren.  #Don"tGivetheEnemyaSeatatYourTable# by #LouieGiglio is a Christian living book.  Louie helped to start  the Passion   movement and  is a pastor  at  Passion City.  The  Passion movement has  churches and conferences to draw people to  commit their lives to Jesus.  This movement is very  dynamic  and popular.  Louie  is a best selling author of books for  children and adults.  He has   written devotionals  also.  His messages  are very practical and  challenging.   He  graduated from Georgia State University and   has a master's  from Southwestern  Baptist  Theological  Seminary.  His   books are  well written.  #Don't Give the Enemy a Seat at  Your  Table#  focuses on the issues  Christians   battle and how to  conqueror these issues.  Louie makes  the reader feel like He is  talking directly to them and cares about them.  #Once Upon A  Wardrobe#  by  Patti  Henry  Callahan is a fantasy  fiction book.  Patti is a best selling author. She received the  well respected  Christy  award for   Becoming Mrs. Lewis in 2019.   She  received the Harper Distinguished Writer award in  2020. She is the  creator and host of the Friends and Family   podcast and live  web show. The cover is  so beautifully done  and draws the reader into the  well written fantasy  story.   The story takes place in  Worchester, England in 1950. The  story is  told  by  Meg who is  George's  sister.  Meg is a physics major at  Oxford  University. George  really enjoys  the book The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.   His imagination leads him into that world. The  book   brings the reader into  this world.  The  descriptions are so rich and  well done. George has a heart  condition  but loves to enter into the world of the Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.  Meg knows  C.S. Lewis   from Oxford. He is an English Literature  professor

  #Jesus Followers# is by Anne Graham Lotz and Rachel Ruth Wright. Anne is the daughter of Billy Graham and Rachel is the granddaughter. Jesus Followers is a practical and helpful book. The book encourages parents and grandparents to make their faith real to the next generation. This book is rich with practical examples from the Ruth and Billy Graham's example. This book draws so much history and helps the reader apply this book to their lives. It is so nice that Anne wrote the book with her daughter so the book can have the perspective of Anne and Ruth in the book. Anne shares about worship, work, walk and witness. The reader will find this book very inspiring and rich. The reader will see how God has made a difference in the whole Graham and Lotz families.  A  Picture of  Hope is a World War 11 fiction  story.  Liz started writing in 2011.  She  has been an award finalist twice.   A Picture of Hope  is  well researched and described.    The reader will  feel like they can picture  life  towards the end of World War 11.   The  description of  DDay  on Normandy  is  so  detailed and complete.   The reader will understand the grief and sorrow  of  so many   men lost  during that time. Nellie plays  several roles in this  story . She  starts out  as a  photojournalist  mostly in London.  She  wants  Americans to understand  the realities of the war.   She  next poses as a nurse to  be part of the scenes during Dday  and  get more pictures.   Her next role is  being part  of the resistance movement  in an underground way to  protect  mongoloid  children   who the Nazis  will not give any chance of  survival because they are not  perfect.   It is wonderful to see her heart for  these mongoloid children  who are  so at  risk and  not cared for

 #Jewel of the Nile#  by Tessa Afshar is a Biblical fiction  novel.   .Tessa  is  the Publisher's weekly  best selling   author of  Biblical  and inspirational fiction. She won the Inspy  award for Land of Silence. The Bible  study  New Beginnings  on the book of  Ruth won the EPCA   book of the year award. She has her  Master's of  Divinity from Yale. The novel takes place  at  Cush  ,  the ancient city and   the Roman  empire. .   The characters are well described.  The  city of Cush  is  explained well.  Chariline is the main character.   The themes of the book  are  trust  vs  mistrust, identity,  hope,   secrets,  coming of age, coping  in difficult situations.    The  reader will feel like they have  stepped in the   land of Cush  and Ancient Rome. Chasing Shadows by Lynn Austin

 #Chasing  Shadows# by  Lynn Austin is an historical fiction book .Lynn has  written 27 novels  since 1992. She has won the Christy  award for 8 of her books! She  was inducted in the Christy  Hall of fame in 2013. Her novel Hidden Placed  was  made into a movie by the Hallmark channel. Before  she  started writing she worked as a teacher. She got her BA  from  Hope  College and Southern Connecticut State University.  She has  had  a long time interest in history and archeology.  She  used  this back round to write her  books.   The  book stays  place in the Netherlands during  World  War 11.  The characters are beautifully described.   The  characters are  faced  with such  evil  and  have to  overcome  their challenges in front of them.  World War 11 is a  very tough period in history.   There were  people who were in the resistance  group  trying to  fight for the safety  of  those  whose lives were at risk.  The author moves   the reader from one  shadow to another  of  conflict. 

When God Says No by Elizabeth Laing Thompson

When  God  Says  No  by Elizabeth Laing  Thompson  is  an outstanding book.  Elizabeth is married to a pastor. She is a writer, speaker and a minister.   She  wrote this book to  address the many times people  get a no  from God.  These times can be so disappointing and  filled with questions  like  why  did this  happen and where are you  God?   God  never leaves us in these times and  really does walk through these times.  She is candid and  honest about the nos she has received from  God.  She shares about  people in the Bible that have heard God's  no and how they have coped.  She helps the reader look beyond and know God is more and God is there and  God is still God.  The  book is so real and personal.  God is  there for us  in these times.  We  can grow through these times.  He is  a caring  God even when we do not feel it.  She has  journal  prompts at the end of the chapters.   This book is a great resource for  pastors,  counselors,  an  any  Christian.  Thank you to the

 Can't  Buy  Me Love is the second book in the Deep Haven Collection.    This book  moves from action  to action with lots of  romance .  Susan  May  Warren  and Andrea Christiansen write  this  wonderful   romance  in this  fictional town Deep Haven  close to the North Shores of Minnesota.   It is light  and  draws the reader in quickly.   The  ups and  downs  of the romance  of Ella and Adrian  will keep the reader  going.  The   themes of the story are  rich vs poor,  forgiveness,  hope, trust.   Deep Haven is a  homey  town and pleasant.   Adrian  has hopes for the town.  He is a businessman.  How will the  future proceed for these two. ?   I like the way  scripture is woven into this book in such a pleasant way.   Thank you to the publisher and author for allowing me to read and review this book.   I know this  book  will  have readers wanting more.

 #The Robin's Greeting#  by Wanda E. Brunstetter is the  third book in the Amish Greenhouse Mystery series. The  first two books in the  Amish  Greenhouse Mystery series are: The  Crow's  Call  and The Mockingbird's Song. Belinda King is the  main character in this  Amish story.  She has a greenhouse business  and  strives to keep it going.  She  also has good character  and   tries to live out her Amish beliefs and  standards.   There are ups and downs as she adjusts to life as a widow.   The  Amish have  good values.  Wanda  has  written over 90 books about the Amish.  She  was drawn to the  Amish lifestyle by  her husband's  back round as a Mennonite with the Pennsylvania  Dutch.  Her books have been award winning and have ended up on the best sellers  list.   In  our fast paced society   the Amish stories remind us of the need for a simpler life. The Curator's Daughter by Melanie Dobson

 #The Curator's  Daughter# by  Melanie Dobson is a Christian Historical fiction book. Melanie is a respected author. Five of her novels have received the Carol award for Historical fiction. The setting of this book is Nuremberg, Germany in 1940 during World  War 11.  The book is a split  time  novel told from the perspective of  Hannah who is an  archaeologist for the  Third Reich and  then back to  Ember  who lived eighty years later . Ember Ellis is a Holocaust researcher who wants to  confront the  hatred towards the Jewish race and other minorities.  The contrast of the  two  time periods is interesting.   World War II is a very difficult time during our history.   The themes in the book are  good vs evil,  courage, honesty. The characters and time period  are well described. He is  also the president of  Encouraging the Word ministry. Encouraging the Word Ministry   started in 2005. Pastor  Wilton has  also written several books. Pastor  Wilton  viewed  Billy  Graham has his mentor.  He  visited  Billy Graham every Saturday  for  15 years.  This book  is   so touching.  It  is a wonderful way the  reader can step inside  Billy Graham's heart  life. She likes to write  about the World War II  era.  This story takes  place in World War II in 1938 in Munich.   Evelyn Brand is a foreign correspondent.   She  works among many men and  wants to  have a truthful   account of what is going on in Nazi  Germany.  She  wants  people  in the United  States to know how  unbelievable   the  World War II is in Germany especially with  Hitler's  approach.   As  a reporter it is very hard to tell the truth  without being told  you have to leave  the country.  I admire  her courage and  honesty in such a difficult  situation.   It  is wonderful   that she  tried to  work with  honesty and integrity.   This book is  well written. It  was hard to put down.  The  reader will feel like they are living during World War II.   This book was  given to me to read and review by the publisher Revell.  I   appreciate this opportunity to read and review

 The Orchard  House is a historical , romance novel.  Heidi  Chiavaroli  is an award winning  author.  Her first   novel  Freedom  Ring won her the Carol Award and she was a Christy award finalist. The Orchard House is a time slip novel  . The first time  period is during the Civil War period   during  1865  when  Louisa  May Alcott was  alive. The reader will get a peak at  what life was like during her  family life and her own life.  The struggles of the Civil War are described in this  book.    The  other   time period is thru the eyes of Taylor . who was adopted and  tried to find herself.  She and  Victoria  are trying to establish themselves  as writers and  in society.   They  learn  about   writing in Louisa May Alcott's Orchard House with other writers.  The  quotes at the beginning  of each chapter are beautiful.    This  book was given to me to read and review.  The opinions are my own.  #Night Bird Calling  # is a Christian historical fiction book  by  Cathy  Godlke.  Cathy is a very accomplished  author. She has received the Christy  award   4 times. She has also received the Carol and Inspy  awards as well.   # Night Bird Calling#   takes place in rural Appalachia in the  foothills of No Creek during  World War II.   The  story is told  from Lilliana's perspective  as the narrator.   . The themes are  overcoming  adversity  through faith,  racism, truth, courage, transformation  .  The  reader will grow attached to the characters.  The reader will feel for their  struggles and  difficulties.  The story    describes the characters, setting   clearly.    The narrator  describes what is going on during World WarII.   I recommend this  book.   The  book was given to me by the publisher to read and review.
