This book guides the older generation to mentor the younger generation.He is the founder and director of I M Mentoring Foundation.. He has written 8 books on mentoring. He focuses on 4 principles: build bridges between generations - transform raw talent into valued strengths - practice stewardship before leadership - live with purpose His goal is to help the younger generation be successful. A Beautiful Arrangement by Beth Wiseman

"A  Beautiful Arrangement"  by Beth  Wiseman is an  Amish  fiction .  This book gives a beautiful   , well described   view of  Amish life.   It is a simple life. The Amish people use a  horse and buggy to get around. They have to  hire a driver to  go out of the area.  Lydia is one of the main characters. She is married with a small 8 month child.   She  shows such  care and mercy to  her friends, husband, daughter and  the homeless lady in their  neighborhood.   The homeless lady  Margaret does not get very much attention from  the other Amish people.   Lydia and her  friend  Beverly  decide  they  need to show care and  love to  Margaret.   The opinions are my own .  Thank you to   the publisher, netgalley, author  for allowing me to read and review this book.  I  will post my review on Amazon, netgalley, Goodreads, my blog,  facebook and for our church staff.

Chasing wisdom by Daniel Grothe

"'Chasing Wisdom"  by   Daniel Grothe is a non fiction Christian book.  Daniel Grothe is  the teaching pastor  for New Life  Church in  Colorado Springs, Colorado.    This book guides us in how to get  wisdom to help us  face   our daily challenges.  He   approaches  his  book with   these topics: how to ask for help, loving Scripture, going to Church, living quietly, and, above all, seeking those who are themselves wise.He   ties all  of the topics into  scripture. He  also   uses  wisdom  with each   topic  from Eugene Peterson who was his mentor.  Eugene's  insights are also  very helpful. The book is very personal and practical.  It is    rich in guiding us how to live our lives .  The book helps us in our decision making.  and life choices.    A book  like  this is  so needed in our  challenging world. "Becoming  the  Next  Great Generation"   by Jonathan Catherman is   a  Christian  nonfiction book.  The  author   tries to   help the  younger generation connect with the older  generation.  He    shares how  things   were different for the older generation. He  helps to bridge the gaps in the generations.  He   shows the value of  stewardship before leadership.  He  shows how the older  generation  can  benefit the  younger generation and in the end  the younger generation will be more successful.   In the end the  younger generation can become more successful that the older generation. "Star of Persia"  by  Jill Eileen Smith  is a Biblical  Fiction  book. This book shows what   life was like during Xerxes  reign.  The  reader will  feel like  they  are stepping into life during that time.  Esther is  well described.  She has   a  strong character with  being honorable , honest, having integrity, loyal.  The reader will understand the risks  Esther  lived with.  She  protected her  Jewish people  from horrible danger.   The back round of Esther  is well researched.  The  author   wrote this book well and will help the  reader  feel like they have stepped into life during that time. Two Steps Forward by Suzanne Woods Fisher

Two Steps Forward" by  Suzanne Woods Fisher is  the third book in the Deacon"s family  series.  It is a wonderful Amish  fiction story.  Jimmy Fisher is back in the town of Stoney Ridge .  He  is Edith's son. He is hard working and caring.  He   showed  his  support for  Sylvie , recent widow, who  really needs his help.  Her  yard is  overgrown.  He  showed his   dedication and   support  by working  for her.  Sylvie  had lost her  husband and needed to get back on her feet. The author  paints a beautiful picture of   what life is like in Stoney Ridge.  The reader   will get a glimpse of  what life is like in this Amish   town. Their simple life  is   inspiring and   renewing for the reader.  The  reader will realize   the  value in the simple life and  the importance of focusing on  loyalty, caring, faithfulness.  Thank you to  Revell and the author for  allowing me to read and review this  wonderful  book.  It  is well written.    and gives the reader insight into the

"The House at the End of the Moor" by Michelle Griep is  an Historical fiction book. The  setting  is Dartmoor, England. It is  removed  and a quiet  location on the moors.  Maggie Lee is a caring  woman. She finds Oliver Ward  on the moor. He is   almost  dead and  hurt.   She  and her  housekeeper  carry him to  their  home and care for him.  It is most unusual for a woman to care for a man under those terms.  She  was   willing  to risk her safety for him.   The book has  themes  of justice, forgiveness, rich vs poor. , The   story leaves the reader  constantly wondering what  is next.   The story  moves  from one  suspense scene to the next.   There is an analogy of forgiveness with the father and the son at the end of the book. "Out of the Embers " by Amanda  Cabot  takes place in 1850.  This book is the  first book in the Mesquite Springs series. The  series is historical fiction. Evelyn  Radcliffe is the main character. She  cares for Polly who lived in an orphanage.  Evelyn used to work in the orphanage.  Evelyn  shows  a lot of character  by taking   care of Polly who was an orphan.  The story takes place in the Texas Hill Country.  There are horses  there and it is wild. The Runaway Bride by Jody Hedlund

The Runaway Bride by   Jody Hedlund is an historical fiction book. This book is the second Bride Ships book .  There are  4 books in the series.   The main character is  Arabella Lawrence. She came to British Colombia , Canada on a Bride ship. She came  from a    rich family. During this time period there is a small pox epidemic.   Arabella risks her safety and comfortable  life to care for an abandoned Indian girl who was   starving and sick. It is real touching  how  much she sacrificed to help  this young  girl She found her  searching for  food and sick as well. She was looking in the garbage for food. The Brightest of Dreams"  By Susan Mason is the  third book in the Canadian Crossings series. This  series is an historical fiction  series.  It  takes place in  Derbyshire  , England in Spring of 1919.  The setting  goes  between the   wealthy   estate of Lord Brentwood's  estate in Derbyshire, England  and  Nova Scotia , Canada. One of the themes  is rich vs poor.  Quinn  the main character has a heart for doing what is  right. He  has  good character. He wants to do what is right no matter what the cost is for him.  I  like his character since He   values what is lasting instead of  just material  worth.  During this time in history there are many children who become orphans. Some of the children  that have become orphans are  sent to Canada and it is hard  to reconnect with   the children after  they are  placed in an orphanage.   The orphanage has rules that regulate   their system.
