The Silken Thread by Kim Vogel Sawyer takes place in Atlanta , Georgia in 1895. It is an historical fiction book. There are many social issues at that time. The main character Laurel Millard is the youngest of 7 children. She has been told she will live with her mother and take care of her by her siblings. She wants to get married and have a family. There is an Exposition coming to Atlanta and they were hiring for the Exposition. Laurel applied to work in the silk room. Several other characters applied also to work in the Exposition. Willie and Quincy applied to work as security guards. Willie needs to help pay for his Dad's care in the convalescent home. All of these characters get the job at the Exposition in Atlanta. The Artful Match "  is  written by    Jennifer Delamere.  It is  a historical fiction book with romance  as well.  It  takes place in 1881 in London.  Cara  Bernay   lost her job and     met  an artist  who encourages her  to also become an artist. the  book is well researched and  showed  the history of art at that time. She  enjoyed the life of  an artist  but   struggled to get along with   Henry  Burke who is  The Earl  of  Morestowe and  her friend's  brother.  Henry is  concerned about  the  finances in the  family and  his brother's  spending.  Henry has a ward as a child.   She is unruly and difficult.   Cara  ended up  doing  handling  the child really well and Henry is  impressed.   Henry is  also impressed with how  well Cara does  with  his brother who He also finds difficult.    There are many secrets in Henry's family.  What will become of  Cara  and her future?    What  will happen with Henry?    Thank  you to   netgalley and the publisher for allowing m

Far Side of the Sea  is  written by  Kate Breslin. It is  a historical fiction book  that  takes place in  England  in  1918.  Lieutenant  Colin Mabry  decodes  messages  for M18 for the  war.  He  is  decoding  because he  suffered a war  injury .Jewel Reyer   saved his  life  and He loved her..  He  received a message  by  carrier  pigeon  telling him where  she is .  He    thought that Jewel  was  dead and He  yearned for her company..   The message told him where to go in  Paris , France to meet  her.   When   He arrived in Paris  Jewel is not  there  but  her half  sister  Johanna  . , She  works for  dovecote in the French  Army Intelligence.   He   had trouble  trusting  Johanna since there were German spies everywhere.  He  wondered if  she   was working for the German  spies  or  could be on her side.  The  book takes  lots of twists and turns constantly.   Will  Lieutenant   Mabry find  Jewel? The Power of  Jesus Names is written by  Tony Evans.  He is a  well respected pastor  of a very large  church in Texas.   He   helps the reader to understand  Jesus  character  by understanding His names.   He  explains  what the name  means and then applies the name to   the   person's life. The  reader will   feel a closer  identification with  Jesus after  reading this book. The   aspects of  Jesus  character in the book are : Immanuael,  lamb of  God,, Great High Priest,   Beginning and the End, The Great High Priest and the Son of God and  many other names. ,The   author   makes the book  very  personable and real to the reader.   He  uses  wonderful examples to  help the reader  connect with the name He is writing about.   I highly recommend this  book.   It  will draw the reader closer to the Lord.  Thank you to  netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read and review this  wonderful book.  I am posting my review on Goodreads, facebook, Amazon, my blog and  also  shar
