I just finished a new book called A Song of Home by Susie Finkbeiner. The book was released on the 28th. It takes place during the Dust Bowl era. The book shows the reader what the time period is really like. It is rich in detail of about the characters. The book is told with Pearl narrating the story and from her point of view. Her Mother is not always at home . At one point her Mother is gone and finally returns but she is pregnant . She eventually loses her baby and ended up in a depression .Her aunt and uncle show kindness and support to her and her brother during her time of need. The story has lots of Christian values and qualities woven throughout. I was sad to see the story end. There are two books in the series before this book.

This book is classified as historical fiction by the author. It is a voyage by Anath who tries to kill Leviathan. He prepares for his voyage for 3 years. Anath wants to get Leviathan back. The wise man in his town warns him to be careful of Leviathan and not take the voyage. He still wants to take this voyage and get some revenge. The pictures are beautiful . The story is taken from scripture and weaves in wonderful parallels with scripture. What will happen to Anath and will He be able to defend himself from Leviathan?

He shared his struggle with bridling his tongue after having difficult middle school years with bullying. He draws the reader into the book with such personal examples. He talked also about how we must train our mind to be positive like the navy seals are told. They view any obstacle from a positive angle. Lusko goes on to teach keys to overcome the battle with yourself which we all face. There is a DVD series and a study guide for the book. The book would be excellent for a Men's or Women's Bible study group. It would work …
