ReplyDeleteThe Woman from Lydia is the first book in the series of Emissaries series. This book is written by Angela Hunt who is a best selling author and a Christy award winner. The book is well written and has lots of descriptions of the setting and characters. The reader will understand what life is like in Philippi. Lydia sold purple cloth .She also had a heart for slaves and their challenging lives. She started a church in her home. She had a heart of compassion. The book is well researched and draws the reader into Biblical life. I would recommend this book. The book was given to me to read from the publisher. I am not obligated to write a positive review.
