#Daughter of Cana#  by Angela Hunt  is a Biblical Fiction story. Angela Hunt is a Christy Award winner. She has written 180 books.  She is well respected.  This book is  the first book in the Jerusalem Road book #1..  This book takes place in Nazareth and Cana.   The narrator  of the story  is Tasmin.   who is a twin with Thomas.  Tasmin   shows the reader what life was like during the times of Jesus. The  author  writes with lots of wonderful description about life  in Nazareth and  how the people lived then.   Tasmin has a beautiful character. #Unyielding Hope# by Janette Oke and Laurel Oke Logan is  an historical fiction  book. takes place during the   Janette  has  written over 70 books.  She received the 1992 President's Award from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association for her significant contribution to Christian fiction, the 1999 CBA Life Impact Award and has been awarded the Gold Medallion Award for fiction. Janette and her husband, Edward, have four grown children and enjoy their many grandchildren.  She lives in Canada. This outstanding book takes place in the  1800's. in the Industrial Revolution.    During that time period  there were many orphans . Many people died of diseases  . The  children were left on the street as orphans.  These orphans  were sent to  Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and some parts of Africa to be adopted.  These children were not  often treated well. They  were often abused.  The author writes   this outstanding book to ask us   are " We able to meet the challenges

"On a Summer Tide " by Suzanne Woods Fisher is a Christian fiction book. This book is the second in the Three Sisters Island series. Three Sisters Island is a calm , peaceful place for a setting. The people who live there can recharge in the peaceful and quiet area . There are several themes in this book: : anxiety vs peace, overcoming fears, God's forgiveness for us and our forgiveness for each other. #When Pain is Real and God Seems Silent# by  Ligon Duncan  is a Christian Living  book.  Ligon  Duncan is the  Senior Pastor of  the First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, MS.  He is also  the Chancellor and John E. Richards Professor of Systematic and Historical Theology, Reformed Theological Seminary; President of the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, and past Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of America. When  we   face difficult  trials it  is easy to wonder where God is.  and question our  faith.   The author  talks about  how hard trials can be in life.  The Psalms can bring comfort and renewed strength in our trials.  Ligon  encourages us to look to  the Psalms can  reassure us that God is with us and  so us that He is with  us and cares for us. "Thriving in  Love and Money"  by  Shaunti   and Jeff Feldhahn  is  a nonfiction, Christian  self help book on love and money. Shaunti   got a graduate  degree from Harvard. She  has  written lots of best selling books on relationships, a devotional series. She has been on the Today Show as  well.   She   also does  speaking engagements.  Jeff has  coauthored several of  Shaunti's books.  This  book is written from  research about men and women related to love and money.  This book addresses  key  issues with love and money   women and men  face in their marriages.  The issues are addressed from the perspective    of men and women.  So often men and women do not understand   how  each other  thinks on theses issues.  It is important to learn   how  each other  thinks .  After   the man and woman understand how each other thinks they can be  open and  honest with each other without barriers. Marriages will  be deeper and more satisfying  if  the  barriers can be overcome.

Stay  With Me by Becky Wade is a Christian fiction  book.  This book is  first in the Misty River  series starts off with excitement.   Becky  Wade  won the Christy and Carol awards.    the reader  will be drawn into the trials of Genevieve .  very early in  the book. The  predominant themes are forgiveness, grace, romance.   Sam Turner is   faithful and supportive  . Staying Power  is  written  by Carol , Gene  Kent and  Cindy and David  Lambert.  Staying Power is a nonfiction Christian book .   Carol Kent is  a best selling  author and international speaker.  She is  the president and  founder of Speak up Speaker  and the founder and director of  Speak up Conferences. She and her husband founded Speak up for  Hope which is a  nonprofit organization that   benefits inmates and their families.  Her website is  www..CarolKent.org.   She has  been a radio host and is frequently asked to   speak on Television broadcasts and radio shows. Cindy Lambert is a freelance writer and  executive editor for Baker Books.   This book is  well written and gives  excellent strategies to  stay  in your marriage through  the many stresses in life. The Lambert's and Kent's  share personal stories that tie into  the chapter and strategy they  and writing about. There are  also  personal stories  of   other people   in each  chapter.  The  strategies  in each cha
