This book is a republication  after   10 years.  Dave and his  wife suffered  lost their daughter when she was 17 years old.  He  shares  about  his personal struggle with  grief.   This book is written with compassion.  He   shares  Psalm 23 and how God can meet us during our times of grief.   Psalm  23 is  a wonderful Psalm and a  great  source of  strength  during loss.   Jesus will be our shepherd during times of loss.   The book is personal and very practical.   He  reminds  us of how God's  character is  still the same .  God can help us through these difficult  days.   He  addresses the questions  grieving parents have.   This book  would be a great help for pastors, counselors as they  work with those who are grieving. The book  does not give pat  answers. The book helps  the listener know what is the  right thing to say to the grieving person.   Thank you

This book is an important book for  Christian Women.  So often We  compare ourselves to others and many other  things in front of us. She  addresses the  many different areas we compare ourselves .  She shares about Jesus and His view of us.  She shares scripture to explain how  God  views us.  It is important  we focus more on how  God views us and not  how the  other  things  view us.  She shared how damaging  these other    things  can be to our lives. She has  questions  for self reflection at the end of the chapter.    After reading each chapter I  had to pause and reflect so  i   was able to  do the inner work  the chapter was asking. She empathized how the reader needs to know  Jesus's character . She wants us to depend on Him more . He is more  reliable than the other many

 My Prayer  Journey is a  gift product  from  Ink and Willow  and published by Waterbrook. This book is  wonderful resource for the Christian. It  has a place for prayer requests. You can record  your answers to prayer as well. There is a chart. There is a place to record what you are worried about , thankful for and   what you are praying for. AS a Christian it is  helpful to have a resource like  this for your daily life.   I  thank  Waterbrook for allowing me to read and review this book. The opinions are my own. 

Things WE didn't Say by Amy Lynn Green

 #Things We didn't  Say# by  Amy Lynn Green is an historical fiction book.   This is Amy's first book.  The  story is told with letters.  The book takes place during World War II.   During World War II  there are POW  camps.  The  camps are not very patriotic and   Americans do not want to have  anything to do with the camps.  The  workers at the camp  get  criticized and the  POWs  at the camp as well.   The work at the camp is also criticized. The person who  writes the letters for the camp develops empathy for   the difficulties the POW prisoners face. The  story helps the reader understand the difficulties of  being in a POW  camp. The letters are personal and   real.  The story is well written and the characters are well described.  #A  Path to Redeeming Love#  by Francine Rivers  is a  40 day  devotional book.    Francine Rivers best selling book is  being made into a movie..  This  devotional   draws from the  story   redeeming love and applies it to  the readers  life.  It is  practical and personal.   The  devotionals are well written.   The devotional is  based on the book of  Hosea  . The  book Redeeming love  is   what the devotional is based on.  The devotional  shows us  how  God's love is unconditional and personal.   There are  questions for application and journaling.  Thank you to  the author, netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read and review this book.  The opinions are my own.

 #Goliath Must  Fall for Young Readers #  is by Louie Giglio.  Louie  is the pastor of  Passion City  Church and started the Passion   City movement.  He  is a best selling  author  .   Goliath must  fall  is  based on a sermon series Louie   gave.   This book  is  written for the younger reader.   The book tells the story of Goliath and   applies  the story  to the issues   people face today.  The   story is very applicable to  the younger  reader.   The  story   is written with good examples  that the younger reader will identify with.  The story is very  personable.  I like the way Louie  brings the story  at the level of a younger reader.  There are good questions for reflection after   the examples  are presented that   tie into the weakness the  writer is  sharing.  There is a space to  write back on  the question the  quthor is asking. #Beyond Priceless#   by Jen Barrick is a Christian living   book.  It is a  30  day  devotional for  teens young adults or  any   woman.  This devotional is practical and personal  .  The  devotional   talks about how  when we    feel a  certain way  God's character is there to meet and help us.  The   book  shows the reader God's  character which is different   that we  probably realize.   The  devotionals  focus on real life issues and struggles. They are  great and help refocus our minds.   This  devotional is   an  excellent help  for   the day to day life of the Christian.  May   the book  be  successful.  #The Shepherd's  Wife#  by  Angela Hunt is   a Biblical fiction book. Angela Hunt is a Christy award winner. She  has over five million of her  books sold .  This book   is a beautiful   example of  what life was like during   the time of Jesus. It is the second book in the Jerusalem  Road  series.  The book is a strong comparison of life  with two sisters of  Yeshua.  One sister is married to a Pharisee who is rich. The other sister is married  to a shepherd.   The shepherd's wife  is  very caring and kind. The setting is Toronto, Canada.    The narrator is   Olivia  Rosetti  who    was pregnant and homeless in the beginning of the  book. She was a  troubled person and alone.  She  learned  how hard it is to be pregnant with her fiancé away  at  war.  Olivia  has courage and  perseverance.  Her character is to be admired for  her heart for others, her mercy and kindness. I  liked seeing how she overcame her difficult  circumstances.  The  themes of the story are loss,  turning   tragedy to   triumph. Then  There  is a devotional writing to go with the  scripture  reading  . There are also  practical  questions  that follow.   There is  some space to write your answers.    The book is practical and Illustrated    very  nicely. It is  such a helpful resource. It is nice  that there are practical questions to apply the passage to devotional to  the reader's life.  #Softly blows the Bugle #  by  Jan Drexler is an Amish  Fiction book.  This book is  the third in the the Amish of Weaver's Creek series. Jan  brings a wonderful perspective  to her writings with her Amish and Mennonite back round.   The  book is  beautifully written.   It  has  romance , suspense, and action.   The  Amish  values  are  woven in a beautiful way into this book.  The book takes  place in 1863.   The book is written  from   Elizabeth Kauffman's  perspective.  She  strives to be kind, loving, honest in her  dealings with others.  The themes are : forgiveness,  steadfast love, faithfulness, loss. , resilience .  I  like Aaron as a character in the book. He  was in the Battle  of  Vicksburg.  . He  lost his  leg.  There is a scene in the book when  one of the young  children are  at risk from a bull hurting  him.  Aaron  puts  his body over the child to  protect him and  prevent  him from getting hurt.  Aaron already has his own challenges  getting around  one one l

 #The Lands of the Bible Today#  by Dave Branon is  a wonderful  reference into the Holy Land.   Dave  has  written this book with  a wonderful picture and  map  to go with the picture.   Along side the picture the author lists different  stories that  take place  in the locations.   This resource helps  bring the Bible alive.   The pictures  and maps are very helpful  . She enjoys  helping   people launch their  writing career. #Price of Valor#  is the  third book in the Search and Rescue  series.   This book centers around Hamilton Jones. Hamilton Jones is a former Navy Seal.  He  is  very enduring,  determined, forgiving.   He  lives out his Christian life  throughout the book.   Ham  and his friends Jake and  Dr.  Aria Sinclair find themselves in a  category 5 Hurricane and  earthquake   in Key West.   There is so much  action, romance, suspense  that is   does not stop until the last  page.  each and every scene is well described.   The  characters   are well described.  The book is well written.   The themes in the story  are  forgiveness,  loss, faithfulness, steadfastness.  I commend  Susan May

 #Pearl  in the Sand #  by Tessa Afshar is a Biblical Fiction book.    Tessa   has won  the  Christy  award   for Harvest of Gold, Land of Silence  got the Inspy  award. She  was  born in the Middle  East  .  She  ended up going to school in the England and later  went to  the  United States. She  got  a  Master's  in Divinity  from Yale. She  was  the co-chair   for Evangelical Fellowship   at  Yale for a year. This  book was  republished  for the 10th anniversary!   The  book is  very inspiring.  Rahab  is  a character in the Bible.  The author  writes her  story in a beautiful  way.  She  shows how her  character   grows and changes.  She  helps the reader understand  what  life  was  like  in Jericho  at  that time.   The reader will feel like  they can relate  and connect more to her story.   The  story is inspiring.   Pearl in the Sand is a beautiful title for the book.  The  pearl is  developed  in this  book.   The reader will feel like they are living  life  at  that time

Eli's Promise by Ronald H. Balson

 # Eli's  Promise#  by  Ronald H.  Balson is   an outstanding historical fiction book. Ron  has  written several  historical fiction books. He  received the National   Jewish Book award.  He is  an attorney   practicing  at  Stone, Progrund and Korey in Chicago.  He has  been an adjunct professor of  law at the University of Chicago for  twenty- five years.  He  has  traveled internationally  for his law practice. His traveling has   given him the inspiration for his novels. In 2000 He  went to Warsaw  and Southern Poland for with a telecommunications lawsuit.   While He was on that  trip He  was very moved  by the statues  from  World War II and got the inspiration to write  these historical fiction  books.   This book is a masterpiece and hard to put  down.
