The Pursuit of God  by A. W. Tozer  1897-1963 is  a non fiction inspirational Christian book. A.W. Tozer became a Christian after hearing a street preacher in   Akron, Ohio.  He  was a self  taught theologian. He was a pastor, writer, teacher .  His  books are often used by   pastors in sermons. This  book is considered a classic.  It   draws and shows the reader  their need for a deeper relationship with God.  It is well written and     well respected in the Christian world.  The   book  describes  who  God  is  and makes the reader want to  know Him on a  deeper level.  This  book was given to me by Bethany publisher to read and review . Victory  over  the Darkness by Neil  T.  Anderson is a Christian nonfiction book.  Dr.  Neil Anderson is the founder and president emeritus  of Freedom in Christ  Ministries  .  Freedom in Christ Ministries is in   forty countries. Dr.  Anderson was a chairman of the Practical Theology Department at Talbot  School of  Theology. He has  five  earned degrees including  two doctorates. This book is a revised  edition  of   the  book.  He  teaches  Christians the importance of knowing who they are in Christ. He  started the Mansfield group which is a media training firm. He is an in demand  speaker and a consultant.  He is   a best selling  author. He  has  written books  about George Bush, Barack  Obama, Lincoln, Winston Churchill. This book is  an honest   view of   men in the Christian world. He  is concerned about  how Christian men live.  He  challenges   Christian men to  focus on  seven fires that should be in their mind.  He  is honest, direct encouraging men to   pray  for each member of their  family. He   encourages  them to  pray  through the   deep spiritual   forces  and struggles  in their family and world.  He  encourages  men of every generation to live well,  invest in others,  and leave a powerful legacy. He is also  an author.  He founded   Fitness Quest 10 in San Diego.   His  book motivate and  encourage  people to  watch  their mind  set  when they approach  fitness.   He  gives important points to consider  when He considers the mind set.   His  principles  have    worked   well for  very successful athletes like  Drew Brees. Drew Brees wrote the introduction in this book. He  shared  how much  Todd Durkin  has helped him   . #The White Rose Resists#  is  a  novel  during the   challenging   time of World War II Amanda Barratt has   written  more than  a dozen books and  is  an EPCA  winning author.  The cover   of the book  shows  what  the  secrets the  reader will enter into. There were so many  horrendous    events going on  during World War  11.  It is not fair  that   innocent people   would be killed because of their race.    This   book  is  so  carefully  researched. The  world we enter into is interesting and gripping when you read this book.  The  reader will have a hard  time  stopping and then the book  is  over!  There is a group in the book who resist  the horrible  events going on. #A Life Once Dreamed " by  Rachel  Fordham  is an historical  romance  Christian book.  Rachel Fordham has written two  other historical fiction books.    Her characters are  very personal   and make a difference in their world.  The story   takes place in  the Dakota territory  in  Penance.  Penance is a logging and mining  town.   The   town is  small and the people  all know each other.    Agnes Pratt is  school teacher  in Penance . She  cares for  each student in a personal  and  caring way. She is  very devoted.  to her students.  The characters and setting are well described.  People in the town of Penance  take  time for each other.    The  story  takes place during the  time of  horrible scarlet fever pandemic  era..   Agnes  or Miss. Acceptable Risk#  is the second  book in the Danger Never Sleeps series by  Lynette  Eason.   Lynette is a best selling author. Her books have won the Selah, Carol,Daphne, IRCC Awards and more. The book is a suspense, thriller and romance  book.   The setting is the  Middle East  and the United States.  Sarah Denning is a military journalist  . She  moves from one suspense to the next. Sarah is a  wonderful character. She  always wants the  best for those  around her.  She is concerned when she  thinks something is not   right and continues to  pursue and investigate until she gets to the bottom of things.   The  complexity of the story  keeps coming  minute  by minute until the story is done.  The story leads the reader beyond what they expect  and  will have a hard time putting the book down. An Appalachian Summer by Ann Gabhart

#An Appalachian Summer#  by Ann Gabhart is a Christian historical fiction book.  Ann Gabhart  won the Selah award.  She has written Shaker novels and many other  novels. This story  takes place in  Louisville, Kentucky and the Appalachian Mountains. The time period is  the  harsh  economic  down  turn  in   1933.  The  economic  down turn was a difficult time   for people  .  Their money disappeared quickly in the stock market.   The  Frontier nurses were  making a huge difference in the Appalachian Mountains. . It is wonderful  the  nurses were  able to make  a difference for the people in the mountains. The  nurses  went to  the patient's  homes and cared for them in a personal way.  They went the extra mile for  those in need.  This book was very inspiring and   also  romantic.  I know  these tough economic times   made people discouraged and I am  sure  the nurses  were a light in the darkness.  The   settings and characters are so well described.  Thank you to  the author , pu

#Don't Keep Silent#  by  Elizabeth   Goddard is   a suspense , action and  love story.   Elizabeth Goddard is  a best selling  author. She  has  written over  40   best selling  books. She   won the Carol Award in  2011. This book is the third in the Uncommon Justice series.    The reader  will be taken inside this book fast.  It is  fast paced and hard to put down.  Rae Burke  is  a private investigator. She is  out to find the  solution to the  case in front of her .She will do whatever  needs to be done to solve the  mystery.  The characters are well described.
