"Breaking the Power of Negative Words" by  Mary  Busha is a  nonfiction  Christian living book.   Often we are hurt by  the negative  words  people use. Mary  teaches  the reader to look at the person  who said the negative  words and realize  they  come from   their own hurt.   She  gives some wonderful examples   of  people  who have suffered  from the hurtful words of others. She  asks the reader to think about who they were created to be . She  tells the  negative  effects of  negative self talk and how damaging  it  can be on a person. She teaches the importance of forgiveness step by step.  She  teaches the reader to move forward  in a positive way.  Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for allowing me to  read and review this  book. I am not obligated to give a positive review.   It is so very practical to the Christian life.   

Character formed in Stone by Pat Williams and Jim Denney

 This  book is well w"Character  Carved in Stone" by  Pat Williams and  Jim  Denney is a non fiction Christian book.    This  book  is written about  the 12  different  benches at United States Military Academy at West  Point. The   12   benches signify    these  12  character  qualities: compassion, courage, dedication, determination, dignity, discipline, integrity, loyalty, perseverance, responsibility, service, and trust.  The  author writes about a person who attended West Point  who lives out  each one of the    character qualities. The   author  gives  examples  about how the   character quality  is  seen in the person.  The  book is rich in history and  has  wonderful  stories.   The  book challenges us  to have   more of these qualities in our lives. Healing Every Day by Mary DeMuth

Healing Every Day"  by  Mary  DeMuth is a 90  day  devotional book.   This  90  day  devotional   uses  stories  , scripture and practical  insights. It    helps the reader  see their  situation from God's  perspective . It  give  the reader insights  to   look to God in the   midst of their   troubles.   This book  will give the   reader a  new  way  to  see the world and  their own life. It is practical and  so personable.  This book will help the   reader move  forward  with a positive view on their life.  Thank you to Harvest House and netgalley for allowing me   to read and review this book. Ever Faithful by Karen Barnett

Ever Faithful  "  by   Karen Barnett is  a romantic  Christian   fiction book. It  takes place   at Yellowstone  National Park.   It   gives the  reader insights  into  what it is like to   be a ranger in the park system.  Elsie  Brookes is a  ranger's  daughter.  She   enjoyed  being a ranger's  daughter. For   4 years  she  was a maid  at Yellowstone  National Park. She  wanted to earn more  money    and  decided  to teach   men at the Civilian Conservation Corps    about the history  and animals in the park.  She learned  she really liked   teaching and planed to be a teacher in the future.  During her    time with the CCC  she developed a  relationship with Nate. "Not Forsaken" by  Louie  Giglio  is a  Christian  Non fiction book.   Louie    tells the reader  it is important to  understand who God  really  is and   not  who  We  think He is.  We often have   a very distorted   view of God  and    this  distorted view of  God   clouds are  perspective  of life.  He   says  if  Jesus   got the nails  pounded in Him  He   must love us  very  deeply.   He   says  if  we  can be open to changing our view of God  we will see Him  for  who He  really is and  deepen our  relationship  with Him.  We  will then realize  we  are highly valued and esteemed by  God.   God  does not view us like  our  earthly  Father may  have  viewed us.   God  is unconditional and  consistent.  When  We   view  life from this perspective  we will live in freedom  and our   relationship with  God will deepen and be richer. "The Refuge" by Ann Gabhart is a historical fiction book. It is written during the cholera period in history. Walter and Darcie Goodwin heard about the cholera epidemic where they lived. They are concerned about the risk it will have on them. They move to the Shaker village hoping to stay away from the epidemic. Unfortunately, Walter gets killed by a riverboat accident. After He passed away Darcie realized she is pregnant . She had no money and had to stay with the Shaker community. Marital relationships are viewed as sinful in that community. Darcie struggled through her pregnancy in that community out of necessity. The Shaker Community will only allow the baby to stay with Darcie for a limited amount of time. Sweet on You by Becky Wade

Sweet on You" is  a fiction book by Becky Wade.  Sweet on You is the third book in the  Bradford Sisters  series.  Britt and Zander  have  been  best friends since they have been  thirteen.    Zander  was raised by his uncle.  When his uncle  dies   he has  many questions surrounding his death.  Zander and  Britt   unravel each question to   solve the many  mysteries of his death. Zander   also   tried to show his support for his  aunt  during this change with   the loss of his uncle.   In the meantime  their  friendship  deepens and  what will become of their  friendship? A Reluctant Bride by Jody Hedlund

The Reluctant Bride is an outstanding book by Jody Hedlund. It takes place during the time period when there were many orphans in London. It is the first book in the Bride Ships series. Mercy Wilkins is from a poor family. She shows Christian kindness and mercy to those around her whenever she can. Mercy was offered the opportunity to go to British Columbia on a sailing trip with a sponsored group. She believes she will be able to be hired to work for families and have a better life. She also hoped to pave the way for her sister to come on the ship in the future. She came with a group and there are many sick. She ended up showing compassion for the sick people on the ship. She met Joseph Coville who was a doctor on the ship and became his assistant. He admired her compassion for the patients. She is supposed to be sold once she gets off the ship. My Dearest Dietrich by Amanda Barratt

My Dearest Dietrich " takes place during World War 11.  Dietrich  is a pastor and  loves God  very  deeply.  He  lives in a  difficult time when Hitler  ruled  Germany.  He   preached the   Christian  values of loving God  above all else. He  did  not like the  way  Jews  were being  treated at that time.  He  was  part of  a group that took a stand against  the  treatment of the Jews.  The  group was the  Military  Intelligence. The  group   helped to  get   12  Jews  out of Germany  safely.  The people in the group took a stance against  what was  wrong even though it was a risk  to their own lives.   Dietrich  also   wrote Christian  books.
