She  prays is a 31 day  devotional.  It is written with a personal and practical  approach.  It  starts out with a verse and  the author  writes a wonderful message  encouraging the reader to have a deeper and closer relationship with God.  The   devotions are a perfect  length and very encouraging.   The author will  draw the reader into  a deeper prayer life. "100 Words of  Affirmation Your Husband Needs to Hear" by  Lisa  and Matt Jacobson  is a practical   and helpful book.  This  book is written by  a husband and wife  team  which  gives  both of their perspectives.  It is really important  to say positive supportive comments  to your husband.   It is important  to build them up so they can  be more successful.  They have  God  given talents and we   can help them use  them to   their full extent.   any marriage can  be   enriched  by  using these helpful techniques.  Thank you to the publisher, author and netgalley for allowing me to read and review this book.  It is practical and helpful. "100 Ways to Love Your Husband"  by  Lisa Jacobson  is a helpful  book . She is  a speaker, author and founder of  Club31Women.com. Club31women.com is a group of Women  Christian authors  who  write online about  husband, home , family and  Biblical truths.  She  also hosts podcasts online. Her  book has  lots of practical, easy  ideas for  strengthening  and enriching  your husband.  These ideas would help any marriage.   Thank you to the author , netgalley, publisher for allowing me to read and review this book.   It is a helpful book. "Still "  by Jenny  Donnelly  is  a nonfiction Christian book.  The author  shares her  struggles with dealing with  stress and anxiety.   She   teaches how she  has  learned to  draw closer to the Lord to receive strength and  peace.  She  teaches  the   reader  several practical  steps to  lean and draw from Jesus  the  tranquility  you need to   face the  ups and downs of your day. She  reminds us that Jesus is  there for us in our times of  trial and will give us  peace.   He  really  does care for us.  This book is helpful  and practical. It  would be a good resource for  Christian pastors,  counselors or for any Christian. "On Wings of  Devotion"  by  Roseanna White is an historical fiction book.  It is the second book in the  Codebreakers  series  about  World War  1.. This book   shows the  challenges of  being a Major  during World  War 1 and also  being a Codebreaker.   Arabelle Denler is  a  respectable and admirable  character. She is a nurse  at  the hospital She  gets promoted to  running the hospital. She  has so much care and compassion for  the patients and her  friends. She goes the extra mile all the  time for her friends ,  family and work associates. She uses her opportunities she  gets to share about  God's love and forgiveness.  The book is well researched and written. I recommend this book .  It   will give  the  reader a  view of life during World War 1.  . Children of the Stars by Mario Escobar

"Children of the Stars"  by  Mario   Escobar  is  an historical fiction book.   Mario Escobar is a best  selling author.  This story takes place  during  the  very difficult  days of World War 11.   The  story  shows  the  very real difficulties  of  being Jewish  during   the war. There were many  , many instances of  cruel and unfair   treatment.  The  reader will leave the book thinking about all the characters go  through. The characters   have a lot of determination and  steadfastness through their  trials.  They  kept  facing  each   difficulty  as it  came and found a way of escape. The book is well researched  and   gives the  reader an accurate  account  of the difficulties   during that time period. I would  highly recommend this book.  There are the themes of  good vs evil.   The author, publisher, netgalley for allowing me to read and review this book.   I will be posting my review on netgalley, Goodreads, facebook, my blog, and  sharing it with our church staff. 

Veiled in Smoke by Joselyn Green

Veiled in Smoke " by Joselyn Green is the first in the Windy City Saga series. Stephen Townsend is a POW of the Civil War. Stephen has a bad case of post traumatic stress and struggles to come to grip with the horrible events He saw. He suffers with nightmares and anxiety. It is sad to see how traumatic the war was on him. The book shows the Great Chicago fire. The people involved had to run for their safety. It was very difficult to survive the bad fire. Also those that survived struggled to get their lives back including housing, work , safety after the fire. The book is so well written and researched. The reader will feel like they have lived through the difficulties of the fire. I commend Joselyn for a well written book. She has received the Christy award and a gold medal from the Military Writers of America.Thank you to the publisher , the author and netgalley for allowing me to read and review this boo

"Collateral Damage " is  by  Lynette Eason.  This book is the first in the suspense , thriller series Danger Never Sleeps.  Collateral  Damage  will leave you on the edge of your seat  wondering what is coming next !  Brooke Adams is a former military psychiatrist. She  is suffering  from   stress after being in the military.  She  becomes for the focal point  in  the suspense , looking for the fraud, solving the crimes.  The  action never  stops until the last  page!   The  setting involves Kabul, the United States , Central America.  Lynette Eason is a best selling author. She has won the Selah award, the Carol award, the Daphne award and IRCC award.   This  book is a suspense, thriller and mystery to be solved.  Thank you to netgalley  , publisher, author  for allowing me to read and review this book.

"Praying Women " by  Sheila Walsh is a  motivating,  resourceful book for the Christian Woman.   Sheila is a well known  singer and Christian woman.  She  shares  her  struggles with connecting with  God first. After she is  very open she    shares how  she  handled  her    struggles in prayer..  She  is  so real and honest. I  think this book is so important for any Christian woman.   So  often  as  Christians we  get stuck in our own inadequate  feelings about prayer and   have difficulty moving forward. God wants to use us as we  are in our  weaknesses.   We are a needed  vessel in this  broken world.   Prayer is a powerful weapon and needs to be used for God''s  glory. Sheila   is  speaks to women  at  churches.  She  shares  how  God has  transformed her  through prayer.  Thank you to the publisher and netgalley  for allowing me to read and review this book.

"Welcome to Adulting Survival Guide" by  Jonathan  Pokluda is a  practical and helpful book.  This book is   an excellent resource for  young adults  navigating the challenges of our world.  It  addresses  many  topics like  money, goals, planning , guidance with Christian  principles and decisions.  When   young adults   venture into our world they are faced with lots of questions and challenges. This  book  will  give them  the direction and guidance they  need.  I  commend the authors for    writing  such a helpful and practical book.   It is so needed in our world today.  "An Uncommon Woman" by  Laura Frantz is  an historical Christian fiction book.  The reader will step into the 18th century frontier and  see what  life  was like then with this   well written book. The book  is  well  researched and  has excellent backround.  I commend the  author for  the charming  characters and well written scenes.  The  themes in the book   are friendship,   good vs evil.   Indian vs White man. The  main character Tessa is rich in her character and steadfast in her principles.  She  stands  for what is  morally  correct in the tough  situations.   Laura Frantz is  a Christy  award winner.  Thank you to  the publisher for allowing me to read and review this book.  The opinions of  this book are my own. 

Forever Hidden by Tracie Peterson and Kimberly Woodhouse

"Forever Hidden" by  Tracie Peterson and Kimberley Woodhouse   is the first book in the Treasures of Nome book series. The book is historical fiction taking place in the  1904 in a farm town in Alaska.   Havyn , her sisters and her Mother live with her grandfather on a farm.  The  town is a gold rush town and the  time period  is  seen well in this town.  Havyn and her sisters  have   become accomplished musicians.  The  family lives with the grandfather.  He is supportive and  helps  guide the  family. He  has a good  character.  What will become of the family when    trials come and the  grandfather gets sick?   How   will the many  chores  and duties of the farm be carried out?  The book is  written  by the  two authors Tracie Peterson and Kimberly Woodhouse and   shows the reader  what life was like in this   gold rush town.  The  book is well written. The Way of the Brave by Susan May Warren

The  Way of the Brave"  is  by Susan May Warren. It is the first in the Global Search and Rescue book series.  It is  very action packed and riveting .  The setting in the Denali  Mountains in  Alaska. The Denali Mountains   are  dangerous and risky to climb. The  terrain  of the mountains can  change  quickly and the climbers  are left  to quickly decide their  next move to safe their lives  and the lives of  the others with them.   The  climbers are  brave people  who attempt  to climb this mountain.    The  setting  is well  described   so the reader and   follow what is coming. The climbers  each bond with each other  from their  challenging life experiences in the past and  as they climb.  The climbing strategies  are explained in the book  with  technical language   but the reader can piece  the story  together.   The  story is  Jenny  Calhoun's, , a psychologist and Orion Starr , a pararescue   jumper story.
