The emotional difficulties   are clearly   explained in this book.   The characters are caught off guard  when  World War II starts hoping   their lives will not be disrupted.  Eva is a musician and hopes to continue her   music lessons.  She is  disrupted when  Nazi  military men  show up  to turn   her life and others   there apart.  The book takes place in Hungary.
