Imperfect Courage is very inspiring. It is the journey Jessica Honegger takes to start a company to help people get a job in the lower economic countries and also help with the cost of adoptions. After taking mission trips as a teenager she saw how great the global needs of poverty in are world were. The company started out in her house when she knew she needed to make a difference in our world. The company is called Noonday Collection . Noonday Collection employees over 4,500 artisans world wide to make jewelry and sell all over the world. It is a very fast growing company. She started out selling her grandmother's jewelry to a pawnshop so she could adopt her son Jack in Rwanda. As she went about the process of adopting she saw how great the need was for children in poorly developed countries to be adopted and how many people in these countries needed work. She gradually developed a network of people working for her here in the United States and in many other countries. In the beginning of the book she talks about the importance of not letting fear , comparison get in the way of us chasing our dreams. She shared about how fear can trap and stop us from moving forward. She started out working with Uganda with her business. Her first business partner was Jalia who lived in Uganda and she was moved at how the business created jobs and helped people get out of poverty. The business is based in Texas. In the United States people can have trunk shows to sell the Noonday products to support the costs of adoption. Jessica encourages people to be honest , reach beyond your fears , learn to live simply and move forward to help the global poverty. The book is filled with many , many stories of how people were changed by being and artisan in their country or working in the United States for her company. She is excellent and being a businesswoman and expanding and networking to get her company to different parts of the world.
