I just finished a new book called A Song of Home by Susie Finkbeiner. The book was released on the 28th. It takes place during the Dust Bowl era. The book shows the reader what the time period is really like. It is rich in detail of about the characters. The book is told with Pearl narrating the story and from her point of view. Her Mother is not always at home . At one point her Mother is gone and finally returns but she is pregnant . She eventually loses her baby and ended up in a depression .Her aunt and uncle show kindness and support to her and her brother during her time of need. The story has lots of Christian values and qualities woven throughout. I was sad to see the story end. There are two books in the series before this book.
